Trusting Your Feminine Creative Flow with Alejandra Torres

About Alejandra

Alejandra Torres Dromgold is a bi-cultural U.S./ Colombian citizen with wide experience in both private and public sectors. After studying International relations and Multinational Management at the University of Pennsylvania/The Wharton School, she was a top ranked Head of Research for ING Barings and Associate at a boutique Latin American private equity firm based in New York. After completing her Master´s in Latin American Studies at UC Berkeley, she worked as Consultant for the World Bank in Bogotá, where she formulated flagship projects in Colombia, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Venezuela including Colombia´s first Conservation Trust Fund, a pioneer Sustainable Cattle-Ranching project and one of the first PES projects. She also reinvented a family business that is a leader in Colombia´s sustainable building sector, Contempo (www.grupo-contempo.com). She founded and directed two thriving business networks: the Colombia Green Building Council (www.cccs.org.co), with over 200 member companies and member of the World Green Building Council (www.worldgbc.org); and the Family Business Network (www.fbn-i.org), the leading global by families, for families organization supporting family businesses and their long-term success. She later headed the Ministry’s International Affairs Office, coordinating International Cooperation, Multilateral Environmental Agreements, the OECD accession process and international trade treaties. She devised and implemented a fundraising strategy, resulting in 30 approved projects worth US$200 million with various international government donors and formulated additional projects worth US$254 million, including Colombia’s first payment for performance mechanism known as Visión Amazonía. She acted as GEF Operational Focal Point for Colombia and advisor to the Post 2015 Development Agenda, the Green Climate Fund, and the Minamata Convention and chemicals agenda. Then she was Revenue Director for The Nature Conservancy in Colombia and Peru.

After a personal transformation and years of spiritual practices and growth, Alejandra decided to form a Community and Academy to teach empowerment, transformation and healing for Spanish speaking women, and founded Musas in 2017. She is an avid hiker, singer, and mother of 2.
