About Teneshia

Teneshia Jackson Warner is an award-winning multicultural marketing expert, purpose-driven entrepreneur and author. She is the founder, CEO and Chief Creative Officer of EGAMI Group, a leading multicultural marketing and communications firm in Manhattan with clients such as Procter & Gamble, Target, Verizon Wireless, My Black is Beautiful, U.S. Army, Hennessy, Major League Baseball and Toyota.

Since 2007, Teneshia has grown EGAMI Group from a dream concept into a thriving multi-million-dollar business. Under her leadership, the firm made history with the eye-opening P&G campaign, “The Talk,” becoming the first black-woman-led company to win the Cannes Lion Grand Prix Award and earning a 2018 Emmy Award for Outstanding Commercial. EGAMI Group was recently named one of Adweek’s top 100 Fastest-Growing Agencies.
In 2013, Teneshia founded The Dream Project Symposium, an annual empowerment conference that helps thousands of entrepreneurs, creatives and career Dreamers plan and achieve their goals. The Dream Project has hosted over 50 panel discussions, secured more than 10 Fortune 100 companies as partners, and presented nearly 200 business moguls, influencers and celebrity speakers, such as Shark Tank’s Daymond John; Earvin “Magic” Johnson; Rent the Runway founder, Jennifer Fleiss; Blogher co-founders, Elisa Camahort-Page and Lisa Stone; P&G Chief Marketing Officer, Marc Pritchard; and “Me Too” movement founder, Tarana Burke. Through this platform, Teneshia has spoken to more than 150,000 Dreamers across the nation.

Based on concepts from The Dream Project, Teneshia’s new book, The Big Stretch: 90 Days to Expand Your Dreams, Crush Your Goals, and Create Your Own Success (McGraw-Hill Education, November 22, 2019), is a fully customizable self-evaluation and empowerment program for jumpstarting a new business, career or big idea. The Big Stretch presents a customizable “career workout” routine designed to catapult Dreamers from where they are to where they want to be, whether it’s escaping the daily 9-to-5 grind, improving an existing business, or getting their dreams off the ground. Teneshia shares her proven process for turning dreams into a reality, as well as success stories from past Dream Project “All-Star Dreamers.”
Teneshia’s previous book, Profit with Purpose: A Marketers Guide to Deliver Purpose-Driven Marketing Campaigns to Multicultural Audiences (Paramount Marketing, September 2012), was the first of its kind to focus on multicultural, purpose-driven marketing.

Teneshia is an in-demand speaker at events such as Blogher, the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, the Essence Festival, Bishop T.D. Jakes’ MegaFest, Leading Women Defined, The Congressional Black Caucus Weekend, Steve Harvey’s Act Like a Success Conference, and the National Urban League Conference and many more. Her professional awards include the Black Enterprises Forty Under 40, AdColor MVP and The Network Journal’s Forty Under 40 Award. She has appeared in national media outlets such as Forbes, Fast Company, Entrepreneur, Adweek, Adage, Essence, Black Enterprise and ABC News.

A graduate of Alabama A&M University, Teneshia currently resides in New Jersey with her husband and business partner, Michael Warner, and their poodle, Tully.
