Like nobody's business

According to The Free Dictionary, a goddess is defined as “a female being of supernatural powers or attributes, believed in and worshipped by a people.”
I believe these women walk among us as the women we admire most, we just don’t typically label them as “goddesses.” We all have women in our lives that we worship, whether we refer to them as role models, mentors, teachers, or something else entirely.
My intention today is to unpack what I believe a true contemporary goddess embodies, and to present you with an amazingly unique and exciting opportunity to nurture your own inner goddess starting in February 2015 that I’ve been cooking up for you for quite some time now!
The internal workings of a true “goddess,” by my definition, all work together to create synergy and balance. A true feminine goddess knows that being strong in just one aspect of her life is neither sustainable nor of service to herself or others, and that in order to harness all of her divine power, she must find balance. I think of these women as the ones who have a mysterious air about them, who radiate positivity, and who create extraordinary results for themselves and for others.
Here are some of the qualities that all true modern-day goddesses exude:
Ambition – A true goddess knows that she is meant to do big things in the world and that hiding or not living up to her fullest potential is a cop out and only leads to losing momentum toward her big dreams to heal the world using her own unique zone of genius.
Spirituality – A goddess knows that she’s not in it alone and that there’s something greater conspiring with her to help her manifest all that she desires in her life. She realizes her personal power to co-create her life experience. She has faith and trust that things will work out, and knows how to surrender to the higher power, whatever that means to her. And she owns it!
Sisterhood – Goddesses understand the power of connecting with other women in an expansive and synergistic way. They know that these connections are some of the most enriching they’ve ever experienced in their lives, and that their network of women is instrumental in their success.
Savvy – Modern day goddesses know their craft – very well. Whatever it is they do, they educate themselves to the best of their ability and their thirst for knowledge and growth is never quenched. They stay up on their industry trends, look forward, and strategize to make the most of their opportunities. They take calculated risks that make sense for them and the lifestyle they want to live. They are constantly learning about diversified subject areas, especially those that make them uncomfortable or fearful.
Service – A goddess knows that the world is a big place in need of healing. She is selfless, yet sets boundaries, ensuring she is filled up first. She builds in self-care to her weekly schedule and makes herself a priority. A goddess understands that the health of her mind, body, and spirit are directly correlated to her ability to serve others, and is her vessel for experiencing and observing the world.
Empowered – A goddess is strong and knows that her opinions and her choice of lifestyle are up to her. She is compelled to take action to make her dreams reality. She knows how abundant, able, brilliant, and powerful she is and acts in accordance with her inspired beliefs about what is possible for her. She knows that, as a woman, she has unique gifts and talents and seeks to incorporate them into her everyday life to get the results she wants.
Creativity – A goddess fiercely focuses on the creation of solutions, connections, and relationships with others. She understands a new, better, more sustainable way of doing things and living her life. She is imaginative.
Receptive – A true goddess is open to receiving feedback, intuitive messages, support, and guidance. She is open to change and new ways of thinking, being, and doing.
I feel so strongly about strengthening women’s bonds to themselves and to their sisters in this world. In order to create true community, synergy, and effect greater change for women and for the world at large, I believe it is necessary to create space to bring exceptional women together.
This mission is precisely why I am launching the Hippies In Heels Virtual Sisterhood Membership in February 2015! The magic that’s happened just from bringing ambitious, spiritual, and like-minded women together has been absolutely incredible to witness at the live events, and I can’t wait to bring this opportunity to women world-wide.
Love & Light,
